Love and Jeans

“Ooh Yeah…oh baby….oh yes”

Thats the sound of me trying on a new pair of jeans that WORK

I am a serial jean monogamist

I fall in love with one type and stick to my baby like glue until we hit irreconcilable differences and we sadly part ways

Currently, I’m in a new relationship with Lily stiletto skinny jeans by Oasis and we are still in that blissful honeymoon period whereby everything feels so right.

Lily comes in multiple washes including my favourites, Dark Indigo and Black Coated. She is high waisted and even sometimes goes a touch vintage with buttons up to the navel instead of a zip fly

She hugs my curves tenderly, is true (to size) and is well fitted but still comfortable.

Lily and I are completely loved up!!

Furthermore, she currently has 20% off and that makes her cheaper than my Ex

Ahhh Jamie by Topshop….

I still carry a torch for you

Topshops Jamie Jeans were about as perfect as jeans could be. I had just come out of a very toxic relationship with Miss Selfridges Sofia Jeans, whose thinner material and weak crotch were not compatible with my mermaid thighs, when I discovered Jamie.

I needed a pair that could meet my needs without having to be replaced every couple of months (Sofia was a gold digger and drained my bank account) and Jamie did just that

Jamie and Lily are quite similar, but Jamie’s sizing came in more detailed and broader ranges (measurements in height and width inches rather than singular numbers which could mean anything)  which meant you could be more confident in selecting your required sizes.

Aside for that one time, where Jamie lied to me in Black Bootcut Satin form and completely broke my heart, Topshop Jamie Jeans was true and reliable and everything a girl could want in a jean relationship

Until one day, she just wasn’t around anymore

Over time Jamie became less and less available in the sizes and styles I needed and eventually, after months of scouring the Topshop website trying to get ahold of her, I had to let her go and move on

Basically, Jamie ghosted me. So I looked elsewhere

And now I’m with Lily!

My luck with Oasis Jeans in the past has been a bit hit and miss but Lily is everything I could ever wish for in a pair of Jeans

She supports me and flatters me and when she holds me she makes me feel like my best self

Lily completes me.

But most importantly she completes my wardrobe

Much Love

I loved Jamie so very much 💔 Such a shame!

Didn’t realise Topshop had a Lily too (once I found Jamie I didn’t look around hehe 😉)

These Lily’s that I talk about are at Oasis Stores. The range is smaller admittedly but all I really wear are skinny variations as they suit me best

Still got to Jamie for the occasional bootcut though (shhh! Don’t tell Lily!🤭🤫)

Jamie Jeans were always my go-to! I wear a lot of online brands now.

I love your writing style. I don’t have a particular brand of jeans that I love but I do have a style that I love. I love boyfriend jeans. Today for some reason my 7 year old daughter asked me if I ever wore bell bottom jeans. She saw them in a show that she loves. I did love those jeans in the 90s. Now a days its boyfriend jeans or whatever fits 🙂
Thank you for your post Raheela

Boyfriend jeans look super cool. Alas! I can’t pull them off. Do love a flare when the mood calls for it, just I find I need to wear them with heels usually so I tend to not go for them as much

Thanks so much for reading and commenting 🤗

    Engagement makes me happy!😄
